What I like is how accessible death is, no matter your skill level or class you can get something out of the game, for example, I cannot for the life of me time the swings of an ax or polearm so I go full Robin Hood and just shoot arrows. Combat is messy yet satisfying even if you just die over and over. Play and level the class up to unlock class variations like the archer can unlock a crossbowman.
With four unique but very distinct character classes, Chivalry 2 gives you what you need and all you have to do is find your class. Dismemberments, headshots and so much blood spilled, Chivalry 2 is a feel-good game. It’s a game that is just one huge highlight reel of gladiatorial combat porn. If you have ever wanted a game to boot up and just straight up kill fools then Chivalry 2 is for you. When down but not out (DBNO) you can punch people when on your knees, killing someone will allow you to revive and get back up.Offline practice lets you choose the map, game mode (free for all or tdm), time limit, ticket amount, and the number of bots (1-32).Kills/Assists will bang up damage numbers.The melee system is robust with dodging, blocking, countering, and parrying available.Variety of game types from rescuing prisoners to holding areas to storming castles.Clear on-screen Hud with icons for objectives.Game balancing works with only X amount of people allowed to play as a certain class.Each game starts with a story-style intro.EXP is earned for each class to unlock new subclasses and skins.Earn gold from games to buy new armor/skins.Armour- helmet, Heraldry (armor design), and weapon skins.Character customisation by the army- male/female, Head type, eye color, hair, beard, nickname, voice, face paint, and imperfections.Each has 2 additional subclasses to unlock. Four classes- Archer, Vanguard, Footman, and Knight.Cross-play support can be turned on or off.Controller settings-Invert axis, sensitivity sliders, aim to assist, and deadzone sliders.Colorblind settings for filters and correction strength slider.Gore settings- full gore, no dismemberment, and minimal gore.Four game modes- 64 players mixed modes, 40 players mixed modes, free for all, and offline practice against Ai.
